This store for an artisan cheese company was designed to combine the simplicity of the North Bay farmlands (where the raw ingredients come from) with the charm of traditional European cheese shops. To evoke the local landscape the counters and display casework are made entirely from found and fallen Eucalyptus wood from Tomales Bay. The simple white "metro" tiles and elevated service area are inspired by turn-of-the-century creameries of London. The color palette and lighting plan were kept simple to help set off the cheeses.
